Where to Park in Estes Park: Your Summer Guide

Hi, I'm Jeff Abel from Estes Park Living with Signature Home Team. Welcome back to our channel, and if you're new, thanks for joining us! We're excited to help you explore what it's like to live in beautiful Estes Park and Northern Colorado.

Planning Your Visit

So, you've traveled up the scenic canyon, taken a photo by the Estes Park sign, and you're ready to explore. But where do you park? Knowing the ins and outs of Estes Park’s parking system can make your visit stress-free.

Free vs. Paid Parking

Estes Park offers nine free parking lots (indicated in magenta on the town map) and eight paid parking areas (indicated in green). The paid parking season runs from May 24th to October 20th, with fees of $2 per hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is free outside these hours and during the off-season.

How to Pay

Paying for parking is simple with various kiosks accepting cash, credit, and contactless payments. Alternatively, use your phone by scanning the QR code on-site or through the ParkMobile app. Just enter the lot’s zone number and your license plate.

Top Parking Tips

Our top tip is to park at the Visitor Center Parking Garage. Located at the intersection of Highways 34 and 36, this lot has 415 free spaces. Parking here lets you avoid downtown traffic and start exploring with ease. From there, downtown’s shops and restaurants are just a short walk away.

Free Town Shuttles

For even more convenience, utilize Estes Park’s free town shuttles, running from Memorial Day to mid-October. These shuttles cover the entire town and even go into Rocky Mountain National Park, helping you get from lodges to trailheads and more.

Electric Vehicle Parking

For electric vehicle owners, charging stations are available at the Visitor Center Lot, the parking garage, and the Town Hall lot.

Conclusion

We hope this guide makes finding parking in Estes Park easier. If you enjoyed this post, please like, share, and subscribe to stay updated on life in Estes Park year-round. Check out the PDF and shuttle schedule linked below for more details.
